With the online launch of its new complex website, the professional nursing association of the German Red Cross (DRK), with 33 affiliated sisterhoods nationwide, is ambitiously breaking new ground.
The pioneer here was the Berlin-based healthcare advertising agency mcs, which sees online marketing as a central component in the marketing mix and is playing the role of “digital pioneer” at an early stage. With strategic advice, workshops and training on the new CMS system in the run-up, the website was launched on schedule and will continue to be supported by the advertising agency in the long term – i.e. with analysis tools and advice on content development.
At the same time, the new website lays the foundation for the association’s increased social media engagement; now the content – whether on the YouTube channel or on Facebook – can follow. The potential is there, not least because of the total of about 22,000 Red Cross nurses who fulfill a variety of interesting tasks worldwide.
